Inventory Management System
Inventory Management System project is a free Python projects platform-based desktop application. Basically, this python project includes a tutorial and a software development guide. This system is an open-source that allows the user to download and edit as per their need.
About the system:
The system is written in Python using Tkinter. The project file includes a python script (ims.py). Thus, this is a simple cmd based project which is easy to understand and use. Instead, for teaching purposes, this is an easy and fundamental level tiny project. User can also modify this scheme according to their requirements and create a perfect advance level project. They can also extract the source code from the Zip file and can import into pycharm.
While adding inventory items, user has to enter the part number, it’s price, description and stock. Also, if part number already exists then it’s value is changed to upcoming number in the list. Basically, the system shows the inventory record in a list view. Plus, user can edit and delete the inventory items. It includes a search function too. Lastly, the system focus on CRUD with a search function. Talking about the system, it contains all the required functions which include adding, viewing, deleting and updating inventory items.
Usually, this source code will be helpful for final year students where they can submit in college. Moreover, the final year students of BE, BTech, MCA, BCA, Engineering, Bs. CS, IT, Software Engineering are likely to use this system. This desktop application works 100% smoothly without any bug. Besides, this project has no database i.e. back end of the system. This software code is useful for learners of the final year in academic projects.
How To Run The Project?
To run this project, you must have installed Python on your PC. After downloading the project, follow the steps below:
Step1: Extract/Unzip the file
Step2: Go inside the project folder, open cmd then type ims.py and enter to start the system.
